I worked closely with the Nature Conservancy of California to develop a program architecture and campaign—This Is Our Future—that married their innovative approach to conservation with the pioneering spirit of Silicon Valley and California in general —destroying the tired paradigm of human progress at odds with nature’s needs and harnessing the innovation of the tech industry for nature.

the vr experience

The VR experience was designed to take potential donors where they could never go and get them face-to-face with the challenges of water conservation, protecting animal habitats, and developing more sustainable fishing practices in the Western Pacific Ocean. It acted as an invitation and a means to show how technology can catalyze change. We scripted the project based on our messaging and developed an art direction inspired by the haunting yet beautiful underwater sculptures of Jason deCaires Taylor. MPC took our vision, elevated it, and brought it magically to life.

innovation challenge

An innovation challenge in partnership with Kaggle that invited Silicon Valley’s best and brightest developers to apply cutting-edge technology to conservation problems. An event kicked off the entire campaign and established partnerships with tech and creative capital to bring it all to life.
